Fiona: “So that’s why you’ve been hiding out here?”
Imogen: “Is that okay? I feel comfortable talking about anything.”
Fiona: “Of course it’s okay.”
Like Imogen will call her and ask her to lie and say that she’s sleeping over in case anybody asks. And Fiona will of course, agree, and then ask why she’s covering for her. And Imogen will act all excited and say that she’s spending the night at Eli’s. And she’ll say, “Thank you so much Fiona. You’re the best!” And she’ll hang up and Fiona will just be listening to that little click at the end of the line, knowing that the girl she is incredibly infatuated with is spending the night with someone who is not her. And I think, just for a second, Fiona is going to hate Eli Goldsworthy. Because she wants to be him and yet she wants him out of the way. She wants to be the one who puts her arms around Imogen. The one to kiss her softly on the neck as they lay in bed. She wants to be the one who falls asleep beside Imogen, holding her hand, happy knowing that Imogen is the last thing she sees before she falls asleep and the first thing when she wakes up. And then Fiona will hate herself because she’s the one who pushed Eli and Imogen together. The only reason Imogen isn’t with her right now is because of her. And Fiona is going to get that urge. The one she’s always fighting. The one that tells her to drink away the pain and the hatred and the loneliness. And this is all going on while Imogen lies in the arms of a person who is not Fiona.
Fiona: Okay, somebody tell me
Imogen: Well, me and Eli had a talk. The talk. And it turns out, we really needed that kick in the pants you gave us
Eli: We’re going on a date!

That ”You’re Breaking My Heart Cause I Can’t Have You” stare she’s giving Imogen
